My parents, like many <\/span><b>traditional Asian parents<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, strongly encouraged me to pursue a STEM-related field such as computer science, engineering, or medicine. They held a <\/span><b>deep-rooted belief <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that these fields would provide<\/span><b> financial security<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, I have always known myself to be a <\/span><b>free spirit<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, eager to explore different cultures and the world.
